A small studio with a long memory.
Bageshwari Photo & Videography began in 1998 with one borrowed film body, a stubborn belief that wedding photography in Nepal could look like editorial, not like a catalogue.
BAGESHWORI MANDIR, NEPALGUNJ, NEPAL · Nepalgunj, Banke · Team of 9 · Shooting across Nepal and beyond.
01 Our story
It started with one bad wedding album.
Rohan shot a wedding in 2016 for a friend of a friend. The photographs were fine. The album that came back was not: soft prints, a plastic cover, and a spine that cracked on the way to the bride's parents' house in Nepalgunj. The couple kept it because it was theirs, and it still made him angry.
So the studio was built around fixing that. Printed on real paper. Bound lay-flat so it opens like the days did. Spreads laid out by hand, one at a time, with the ceremony told in order rather than in peak-loudness order.
Nine years and 999+ weddings later, the method has not changed. We still hand over the album first and the digital gallery second, because the album is the thing that is still around in fifty years.

02 How we work
Three rules
we don't break.
Everything else — the gear, the crew size, the delivery dates — is negotiable. These three are not.
-
01
Observe, don't stage
The best frame is the one nobody noticed us take. We'll direct a portrait when it helps, and disappear for the other eleven hours.
-
02
Culture first
Our shooters know the rituals — when the sindoor goes on, when the janti arrives, when to lower the camera entirely. Respect before coverage.
-
03
Finish what we start
Every frame is hand-graded, every album spread hand-laid. Nothing leaves the studio on a template or a batch preset.

04 The kit
Boring but
important.
Two bodies per shooter, always. Dual card slots, always. Everything insured, everything backed up to three places before we leave the venue.
05 Recognition
A few
nice ones.

06 Say hello
Come and see
the real albums.
Our studio in Jhamsikhel is open Monday to Saturday. Drop in, flip through printed albums, watch a full film on the big screen, and drink an unreasonable amount of milk tea.
